Who We Are?

Back in 2018, the founder of Potato ventured into the world of trading. He wasn’t an experienced trader, and his journey was filled with ups and downs. Despite his passion, trading was a challenge, and by 2020, he was still struggling to find his footing, with losses often outweighing the wins. Alongside him was the co-founder, his trusted friend and fellow trading enthusiast. They would sit together, watching the stock market with a shared excitement, eagerly jumping in and out of trades. But as often happens, emotions ran high, when they were winning, greed tempted them to push their luck, and when the market turned against them, fear held them back. They realized that their emotions were steering their decisions, clouding their judgment and affecting their results.

One day, in the middle of a trading session, the founder wondered aloud,

“What if we could trade like a robot—without the highs and lows of emotions getting in the way?”

They shared a laugh, but the thought stayed with them. If they could trade like a robot, why not let an actual robot do the trading? They embarked on a mission to explore automated trading, testing trading bots over the months and years that followed. They found that these bots, unfazed by fear or greed, were much more consistent and effective. Where they had struggled, the bots excelled, making data-driven decisions that yielded steady returns.

Inspired by this breakthrough, the founder and co-founder knew they had something valuable to share. And so, in 2023, Potato was born in Malaysia, devoted to bringing automated trading solutions to clients who wanted to trade smarter and with more peace of mind. The founders’ journey from emotional trading to efficient automation became the backbone of the division’s mission, empowering traders to achieve stability and success in the markets.
